Bride Navy predictions for wedding season 2021

By Liyah Mai Leoni

With the Mercury Retrograde descending, we can finally breathe in the feeling of spring in the horizon. As the days begins to brighten with love in the air it can only mean one thing… the Wedding Season of 2021 is finally here!

We welcome you into the wedding season that is not only all about “the dress” but is indeed all about “the dress” & “the suit”!

Aisle fashion fever is on the rise and with more and more same sex couples take the promise of spending the rest of their lives together you can be sure that the dresses (because there may be two) and suits are going to be everything and more.

Here are 6 Bride Navy’s Bridal/Bridegroom looks we predict will be big trends of 2021:

2021 is the year of bold Bridegroom wedding suits!!

For the most fashionable, the most daring and fly (that indeed as a LGBTQ+ community we are) bold colour suits are here for the win!

Bold, brave colours, accompanied by bold patterns within a 3 piece suit or 2 piece suit combo. Stepping away from traditional and setting trends, new school bridegrooms are on the up and rise

For the brides who love clean lines, sleek shapes, and architectural elements—this look is all about the cut, styling, and when it comes to fit, impeccable tailoring and custom design to fit the body effortlessly.

While we have been used to the grandness of dresses full of all-over lace, beading, and thread work—but 2020 production slowed down by the pandemic. Global embroidery masters were forced to stay home and designers took the step of expression “less is more”, in ways that are no less of a statement

Suits of chill pastel colours and 2 piece combo accompanied by a bright white tee and some crystal white trainers for a clean cool crisp look will be huge in 2021 for the bridegroom with the suave flavour.

The collab of pastel tones, such as light lavender, soft greens, blush tones and blues alongside a tomboyish/masc style will be a “something blue” they didn’t see coming

While traditional never goes out of style and lace is the bride’s biggest popular desire. 2021 designers have added a new wave with laser cut lace and graphic motifs along with double embroidery for all bodies.

Whether you're after a slim fit, an A-line, or a ball gown, there's a new take on lace that's far beyond basic to suit any style.

The new take on lace still feels authentic and soft, rather than overwhelming with a modern twist.

Dinner suits were a big trend for both 2019 and 2020.

And the demand to for a sophisticate black-tie wedding continues to increase as we see more dinner suits both black and white walk down the aisle.

There is something so smooth and charming about a women in this suit ensemble that will never go out of style

One of the looks we love to see beautiful black queens’ step into and saw more and more of it 2020 which means there is so much more to come for 2021.

The textures of lace and the tones of beige nestled beautifully against all shades of brown is the dream!

Gives us so many feels when we see this look, captivating beauty and an aura of gentleness wrapped with love, so many queens deserve to feel- like a fairy tale

We hope we have inspired you with the looks

Much Love
